Sand Bags????
As we approached San Simeon, Ca. we could see in the distance,
spread along the beach, hundreds
of what we though were sand bags.
Soon enough we saw what they really were!!
Their honking was deafening
and so was Toby's barking.
He had to be banished to the car!
We do not remember this Elephant Seal reserve
from our last visit here back in the dark ages
of the 1970"s.
Redwood Country
Driving Highway 100 through the
Redwood forest was more than
amazing.
It was dark, spooky and thrilling
to be among these huge beings and very large ferns too!
It was too dark most of the time for photos.
Here are just a a few.
We were amazed to see herds and herds of Elk

Leaving Beautiful British Columbia
We sadly left BC earlier than we wanted.
I was not at all well and
needed to get back
to the U.S. in case I needed
medical attention where our insurance
would work.
On our way out of Otter Point
I took this photo of
what has become my favorite sign ever!
Our Ferry awaits
A lovely smaller ferry
Another ferry like the one we are on
Beautiful day - clear and blue for watching the islands as we passed them.
